First, a prospective client will undergo a screening by telephone. If it appears the client is appropriate for rehabilitation treatment at ETANO Center, she or he will be scheduled for an intake appointment in our Tucson clinic. If the client is not appropriate for services through ETANO Center, a referral to appropriate services will be made.

ETANO Center remains one of the lowest cost private clinics in the Tucson area. Most clients report the cost of rehabiliation treatment is far less than the cost of their addiction. ETANO Center accepts AHCCCS Arizona Complete Health, MEDICARE PART B and TRICARE insurances for our Methadone program only. For those with other health insurances we offer affordable self-pay options and we can provide clients with the appropriate billing information to submit claims to their insurance, upon request.

Our Buprenorphine (Suboxone) program is self-pay only. Please give us a call for prices. 

ETANO Center is licensed for counseling and therapy. Our medical director is a licensed psychiatrist who offers psychiatry and medication management. We also offer rehabilitation programs to address alcohol or marijuana dependence.  Both individual counseling and group therapy are available.

Methadone is an FDA approved medication used to treat opioid dependence. It is used to help individuals addicted to Oxycontin, Percocet, Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Vicodin, Codeine, Heroin, Fentanyl, and other opioids. Here at ETANO Center, each person’s medication level is determined individually based on a variety of factors such as: opioid tolerance, addiction history, metabolism, age, and other factors. A therapeutically appropriate dose of methadone will eliminate the harsh opioid withdrawal symptoms, suppress cravings for opioids, and attenuate or block euphoric effects should someone relapse.

Like Methadone, Buprenorphine is a long acting medication taken once daily to treat opioid dependence. Some medications that contain Buprenorphine are: Suboxone, Zubsolv, Subutex, Bunavail, and Sublocade. Buprenorphine is a partial opioid agonist and is another option for individuals with an opioid addiction. Based on the assessment, our doctors will determine if you meet criteria for Buprenorphine treatment. Naltrexone is an FDA approved opioid antagonist medication used to treat alcohol and opioid addiction. Some medications that contain Naltrexone are Vivitrol and ReVia. Vivitrol is a once a month injectable medication. A long period of opioid abstinence is required to start Vivitrol. An oral tablet of Naltrexone called ReVia is also available option. Each clients’ dose is individualized based on a variety of factors such as: opioid tolerance, addiction history, metabolism, age, and other factors. The therapeutic dose is found when a client has 24-36 hours of relief from opioid withdrawal symptoms and relief from cravings. Clients will not feel euphoria or “high” from the medication, nor sedation at a therapeutic dose. The goal is to feel normal and be functional.

Yes. Your treatment records are protected by law. We comply with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality laws. The only cases where records are shared are during a medical emergency, a release of information is signed, cases of neglect or endangerment, crimes committed at the clinic, and if records are subpoenaed. As an outpatient treatment center, adequate time is required for recovery goals to be met and each person is treated on an individual basis. Time in treatment is determined between the individual client and the treatment center staff and can be as long as clinically appropriate. The focus of treatment is to stabilize physically, psychologically, and socially. Clients should have adequate stability in their home and personal life before beginning the tapering process. Clinical research shows that time in treatment is correlated with successful recovery outcomes.

Drug tests in the form of urine or saliva tests are required in treatment. These tests come randomly for each client but at minimum on a monthly basis. More tests can be ordered as necessary by clinical staff. A tuberculosis skin test is required during intake and on an annual basis. A one-time blood test is performed at intake.

The cost of guest dosing at our facility is $20/day. Records from your current treatment program are required. Guest dosing should be coordinated at least 2 days prior to attending. Confidential treatment records can be faxed to (520) 325-3379.
